I grew up playing sports, and being active my whole life. I found a great sense of pride from being one of the top most athletic in my younger grades, but a fractured leg in a game of tackled football during recess levelled the playing field and I was no longer the fastest in my grade or even one of the fastest. I was pretty much average, and my confidence plummeted and the other children piled on and kicked me when I was down.
But,
I still loved my sports: basketball, and lifting weights kept me sane, helped me Lift Stress Away, and cope with all that was going on.
This is why I'm so passionate about fitness and making sure it and general exercise is part of my life and instilling those views in others. Learning how to lift and move properly not only helps your physical resiliency but will also keep you mentally strong.
